Our consultants all share a deep insight to the business and working of financial services based on years of working within the industry.
We believe that business insight is a necessary prerequisite for a quality performance in project management and system development of infrastructure related to capital markets.
The business insight provides our consultants with the ability to bridge the gap between the specifications and the end result, be that in the role as project manager or developer.
Consultant Profiles
Our consultants mostly have an academic background and managerial experience from either IT, development, Front or Back office departments of either financial institutions or suppliers to these. Some come with a technical background, others from law or economics.
Some are experienced consultants, others new to the role, but all have at least 10 years of experience from the financial sector. Generally speaking, the consultant profiles can be divided into two main groups: Project managers/analysts or technicians/developers.

Lars Christiansen, Managing Partner

Lars Christiansen boasts a distinguished career in the financial sector, spanning over three decades since 1987. With a dedicated focus on program and project management within Investment Banking for the past 30 years, Lars has exhibited unparalleled expertise in overseeing projects of varying magnitudes.
His extensive portfolio encompasses projects characterized by diverse managerial scopes, timeframes, budgets, complexity, and global reach. Lars brings a wealth of project experience from the Front Office, Back-Office, and Risk Management domains, covering a spectrum of asset classes. Notably, a substantial portion of his career has been dedicated to steering global projects in financial hubs such as Frankfurt, London, New York, Singapore, and Tokyo.
Lars is recognized for his remarkable ability to ensure project delivery, even in the face of challenging circumstances, all while maintaining a steadfast sense of humor. His commitment to excellence and resilience make him a standout professional in the field.
Educationally, Lars holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, underlining his academic foundation in addition to his extensive practical experience.
Kenneth Brandborg, Partner / CPO

Kenneth Brandborg has worked in the financial sector and with FinTech since 2001. Within FinTech, Kenneth has worked with development of software for portfolio management, FX trading and data management. In the financial sector, he has worked as a senior analyst, product- and project manager. Most recently, he was the co-founder and CEO of a FinTech startup.
Kenneth has developed and implemented many complex projects and tasks within insurance, pensions, banking, capital markets and asset management. In addition, he has in-depth financial knowledge, as well as solid experience in transforming knowledge of finance, IT applications and business understanding into concrete solutions. Kenneth has a broad business and system understanding in Front, Middle and Back Office, and has throughout the years been specialized in risk and return.
Kenneth is a distinct team player and uses his deep professional insight to structure projects and his good humor as enabler for the teams to reach their goals on time and with high quality.
At CMP, Kenneth is responsible for REGTECH DATAHUB, ensuring the best possible value for current and future clients.
Furthermore, Kenneth has several years of teaching experience on GDBA, BA, Master and CFA courses.
Kenneth holds an MSc in Economics from University of Southern Denmark and is a CFA Charter Holder.
Søren Rask Nymark, Partner

Søren Rask Nymark has +20 years of experience from the financial sector. He has primarily focused on projects and responsibilities related to strategy, business development, corporate governance, and M&A.
He has held positions as Strategy Director and Head of Corporate Strategy & Business Development at VP SECURITIES A/S (Denmark and Luxembourg), Head of Strategy at Danske Bank C&I and Head of Business Development at Danske Bank Transaction Banking. In addition, he has management consulting experience from KPMG and PwC.
Furthermore, he has been a member of the Board of Directors at Danske Bank Russia and Implement M&A Integration as well as held advisory board positions at Danske Bank’s units in Germany, Poland, and the Baltic countries. At Copenhagen Fintech, he is a mentor for companies in the start-up/scale-up programme.
He has often been engaged in complex and/or political challenging projects. His aim is achievement of objectives, sustainable solutions, simplicity of implementation, and stakeholder satisfaction. The focus is structured, analytical, and persistent.
Søren holds a MSc in Economics and Business Administration and a PhD in Business Studies.
Christian Thygesen, Partner

Christian Thygesen has been employed in the financial sector since joining the Danish Central Bank in 1992. From 1998 to 2002 he worked for the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, dealing first with financial infrastructure monitoring and then monetary policy in the office of capital markets and financial infrastructure. From 2002 to 2007 he was Head of Projects & Analysis at Roskilde Bank. Since then he has worked as a consultant in the capital markets area.
Christian has extensive experience with how banks work and interact through exchanges, trading platforms, clearing houses, central securities depositories and central banks.
As a consultant, his focus has been on efficient implementation of regulation and system selection in its many guises.
Christian holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and an MBA from the International University of Japan.
Christian Bindslev, Director
Christian Bindslev has, over the past 20 years, worked in asset management and fund administration in a variety of specialist and leadership positions, most recently as CEO of one of Denmark’s larger asset management companies, BLS Capital.
In his various roles, he has worked as a portfolio manager (equities, credit, & trading), led several back and middle office functions, including serving as Head of Capital Market Operations, overseeing all operational functions related to investments within the Nykredit Group.
Christian was responsible for executing the merger of all operational functions across the buy-side and sell-side at Nykredit.
He has also overseen the integration of systems, organization, and processes within operations in connection with Nykredit’s acquisition of SparInvest.
Christian has designed and driven the implementation of all systems and processes at BLS Capital.
Christian has worked in leadership at all levels and is skilled at maintaining an overview in complex issues while also having a detailed understanding of the entire value chain, front-to-back, within asset management.
Christian holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration (cand.merc.AEF) from Copenhagen Business School.
Mads Alstrup Fredsgaard, Director
Mads Alstrup Fredsgaard is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial sector. He has a diverse background, having worked in prominent financial institutions in various capacities across capital markets, asset management, and pension. Mads has held multiple leadership positions in front office roles, showcasing his expertise in these areas.
As Trading Head at a Nordic Investment Bank, Mads has gained extensive experience in risk management, trading infrastructure, and regulatory projects. He has also worked as the Deputy Chief Investment Officer at a Danish Fund Manager, where he has been involved in strategy and business development, product management processes, and fostering collaboration between business and support units. Mads has successfully driven several projects and demonstrated his ability to adapt and expand his knowledge in complex situations.
Mads is known for his team-oriented approach, his stakeholder management skills, and his ability to solve complex challenges using his strong analytical skills and deep understanding of financial products and their lifecycle management.
Mads holds an MSc in Finance from Aarhus School of Business.
Henning Skov Jensen, Director
Henning Skov Jensen has since 1985 gained extensive experience from the financial sector. With his primary focus on Investment Management including Front Office, Portfolio Management and Asset Management.
With comprehensive experience, and great know-how within business challenges, Henning has contributed to business development, and system support for pension funds, life insurance companies, investment funds, banks, FinTech, finance- and shareholder associations as well as financial media groups.
Henning has a profound professional insight and consistent focus on creating solutions that deliver value to the business competitiveness and profitability. Henning has management experience and has previously held positions as Head of Asset Management, Head of Research, Portfolio Manager, Management Partner and Executive Advisor.
Furthermore, Henning has been supervisor and examiner on master theses within Financial Markets, Investment Management, External Accounting and Financial Strategy Management for more than 25 years.
Henning holds an MSc in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School.
Peter Jørn Jensen, Director
Peter Jørn Jensen has been in the financial sector for 30 years. He started his career in Andelsbanken in 1985 and has since 1988 worked in the capital markets area. Peter spent over 20 years in management positions at nearly all levels. Peter has primarily dealt with the Operations area in securities, foreign exchange, derivatives and custody where process optimization and efficiency has always been a focus area.
From 1990 to 2005, he worked in Unibank / Nordea, where he was Head of Operations for futures and options, Head of Operations in Unibank Luxembourg ending with the position of Nordic Head of Securities Processes in Nordea. Then Peter was 2 years on BEC in Roskilde, where he served as a link between sales and development within the Trade and Asset Management. Most recently, Peter ended a 7 years term as the Chief Operating Officer of Nykredit Portfolio Administration, which is Denmark’s largest investment management company in the management of mutual funds and alternative investment funds.
Peter can succeed at all organizational levels – he can engage the business from the operational detail to the strategic executive level.
Tonny Nissen, Director
Tonny Nissen has, over the past 30 years, worked in the investment and pension sector in various contexts, most recently as the CEO of a smaller investment bank. In his various roles, he has been involved in customer advisory solutions, processes, product and concept development, compliance, and larger projects.
Tonny has, among other things, served as the program leader for the establishment of a new private banking concept, new advisory solutions aimed at customers, a major shift of suppliers in the pension sector, and has been a project manager for a series of efficiency projects, including creating relevant governance structures in both large and small organizations. Tonny has worked in leadership roles at all levels and has the ability to ensure an overview in complex issues, constantly striving to provide the best solution for the end customer.
Tonny has a banking degree supplemented with a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (investment), project management certification, and several leadership programs.
Søren Rahbek, Director
Søren Rahbek has 35 years of experience from a wide range of financial sector activities. In the last decade, he has built and developed risk management and compliance organizations, including creating the relevant governance structures, in both large and smaller organizations. Søren has worked with management at all levels, both as a trusted advisor and in his own management roles – including in international, multi-site organizations.
Søren is known for his ability to master complex regulation and issues, and converting the rules into actions with a strong business focus. Søren currently focuses on the developing field of ESG regulation.
Søren holds an MSc in Economics and an MBA.
Jakob Werner Carlsen, Senior Manager
Jakob Carlsen has since 2002 gained experience in delivering complex core business systems within the financial sector. Jakob has primarily worked with product pricing, portfolio modeling, flow handling and with creating report platforms. Besides financial skills, Jakob has a strong technical background that makes him capable of finding and implementing solutions to complex problems in IT systems. As a project manager, Jakob is known for his ability to combine technical and business related competencies, and to bridge business and IT. The combination of technical and business skills is reflected in his approach on issues handling and problem solving.
Jakob holds a BSc in Business and Maths from Copenhagen Business School.
Peter Jensen, Senior Manager
Peter has worked in the financial sector since 1986, where he started in the Danish banking industry. Peter has a broad experience from many projects and various areas of responsibility within system implementation and finance, but his primary focus is within markets and asset management. Peter often works as a bridge builder between IT, business and finance within banking and pension – where he has extensive experience from Denmark and Luxembourg.
Peter has covered a large number of tasks as Senior Business Controller, where he has worked with system implementation, tests, process improvements and the establishment of a danish branch of a foreign bank.
On the technical side, Peter has worked with SimCorp Dimension for more than 15 years. Development and implementation of customer profitability system at asset manager, design and development of Danmarks Nationalbank’s currency reporting system and reporting to Danmarks Nationalbank within banking (MFI3) and investment associations (STINA).
Since 2017, Peter has worked as a consultant in the capital market area. The biggest tasks have been the migration of two large Danish pension funds into SimCorp Dimension and the migration of Alternative Investments with a foreign customer.
Peter has a banking degree supplemented with a graduate diploma in Business Administration, Informatics and Financial Management.
Jan Mikkelsen, Senior Manager
Jan Mikkelsen has since 2000 been working with development and implementation of wealth management software and translation of business challenges into digital solutions for financial institutions globally. Jan has comprehensive experience as a consultant, agile coach, facilitator and trainer, as well as optimizing work processes for the financial businesses for teams and organizations around the world. Recently, Jan has been helping a Danish bank starting a bank in Italy creating and implementing a go-live incident management process across organizations in Denmark, Italy and India. Jan has a broad understanding of businesses and systems related to Front, Middle and Back Office, with automation of processes, data, system selection and solutions as primary focus areas.
Jan is accustomed to working within all organisational levels.
Jan holds an MSc in Finance from University of Southern Denmark and is certified Professional Agile Coach (PAC).
Rasmus Ravn, Senior Manager
Rasmus Ravn has worked in the financial sector since 1991, the first many years with the development of software/systems for portfolio management and financial data. He has been employed in software companies and several large banks’ IT departments, always with a focus on IT/System support within the capital market area.
Rasmus has worked many years with integration/development of core systems, including Portman, Ideas, SimCorp, Reuters, Bloomberg and SAXO white label setup, and has played several roles, such as developer, project manager, department manager, chief specialist, CTO, and domain architect.
For the past several years, Rasmus’ greatest strength and interest has been being able to move across IT, infrastructure, development, integration, and business, thereby helping to create coherence and transversal understanding.
Rasmus holds an IT/Developer education and has subsequently supplemented with a graduate diploma in Credit & Financing and Accounting.
Søren Braes, Director
Søren started in SimCorp in 1990, when he and three other employees started SimCorp’s subsidiary in Germany. In the period 1990-1995 he advised German clients around financiel infrastructure and IT systems within portfolio management, pricing and risk management. He has since continued his carrier as an advisor to the financial sector having his own business. In the period 1995-2012 he led the company BASISPOINT, which in addition to advising clients also offered training in both risk management, accounting / position statement and pricing and reporting. In this position, he has advised both large and small banks in Germany, Denmark, Austria and the Czech Republic. Since 2012 he has focused on advisory in all aspects of the risk management process with special emphasis on the business conditions and optimization potentials involved. Soren has broad experience with how banks of all sizes operate and is specialized in risk management, securities trading, derivatives pricing, performance measurement, ALM and accounting. His strength lies in the ability to assess and coordinate complex issues and communicate / solve these in an easily accessible manner, and thus act as an effective link between the business and IT.
Søren holds a Cand. Polyt. from Danmarks Tekniske Universitet and a Bachelor of Commerce fra Copenhagen Business School.
Søren is on the Strategic Advisory Board of the World Savings Banks Institute.
Suzanne Dahl Wallin, Senior Manager
Suzanne has more than 20 years of experience working in the financial sector.
Suzanne began her carrier within account management before moving on to product management and business development, where she has used her broad business and organizational insights in combination with her persistent and structured approach to manage and implement a wide range of products, services and a number of mission-critical and complex projects.
Suzanne drives and transforms business through executable business plans to grow the business both organically, via partnerships and acquisitions. With excellent project and stakeholder management skills, she has successfully implemented regulatory requirements with engagement internally in organizations and externally from regulators and vendors.
Suzanne holds a BA in Business Administration from Roskilde University.
Maja Balslev, Associate
At CMP, Maja is part of the REGTECH DATAHUB team, where her primary responsibilities include first-line support, documentation management, and identifying data sources for continuous development and optimization of our solution.
Maja is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Copenhagen, where she has acquired skills that she applies in her work at Capital Market Partners / REGTECH DATAHUB.
When Maja is not working at CMP or studying, she takes joy in being active. Maja was formerly a high-level football player, but now she is a passionate runner.
Carl E. O. Christiansen, Associate / IT
At CMP, Carl supports a seamless integration of technology. He helps optimizing internal systems to ensure the company remains at the forefront of efficiency and innovation.
Coupled with his ongoing studies in Business Administration and Information Technology at Copenhagen Business School, Carl brings a great perspective on how modern technological solutions can be utilized to enhance business performance and drive growth at Capital Market Partners.
In addition to his professional and academic pursuits, Carl is a passionate runner. His dedication has led him to complete several half-marathons, and he is ambitiously eyeing the finish line of a full marathon soon.
Andreas Riis, Associate
At CMP, Andreas supports consultants by handling tasks such as data collection, presentations, and research related to capital markets consulting. He also plays a role in coordinating office management duties, optimizing processes and systems, and assisting with special events.
Andreas earned an international high school diploma, completing six Advanced Placement (AP) courses, including Macro and Micro Economics, Italian, English, history, and 2D Arts. Currently in his gap year, he is building practical experience in the business and financial sectors before moving on for further studies.
In his personal time, Andreas stays active through various physical activities. Although he previously competed at a high level in football and basketball, he now enjoys being part of teams for recreation and teamwork.
Malene Hebjørn, Head of Administration
Malene Hebjørn takes on a pivotal role as the Head of Administration at our organization, providing comprehensive support to the partners and overseeing the seamless functioning of our daily operations.
Malene handles a diverse array of administrative responsibilities, playing a key role in onboarding new team members, managing correspondence, updating our internal drive, and providing assistance to managing partner, Lars Christiansen. Beyond her administrative duties, Malene has the overall responsibility for CMP’s office management, ensuring the sustained efficiency, reliability, and productivity of our workplace.
Malene manages tasks related to HR, budget management, accounting, contract management, text production, and project planning. Her versatile skill set stems from her previous experience as a self-employed professional in the United States.
Malene has a degree in graphic design and a realtor license.
Cecilie Eiby, Marketing & Communication
At CMP, Cecilie Eiby is responsible for communication and marketing. Her focus is on ensuring that CMP’s message, services, and other vital information are communicated effectively to our stakeholders.
Cecilie is currently pursuing a BSc in Business Administration and Organizational Communication at Copenhagen Business School. This academic background equips her with a strong foundation in both internal and external communication, as well as valuable competencies in the financial sector.
Before joining CMP, Cecilie worked at a mental health center, providing counseling to young people, and she has also contributed to a research project at Rigshospitalet. These experiences have sharpened her communication skills and her ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
Outside of work, Cecilie enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and staying active through running, tennis, and boxing.
